About the role
The LOROS Centre for Excellence education team is looking for a highly-skilled, motivated and passionate Palliative and End of Life Care Educator. Ideally, the post holder will have clinical experience working in palliative & end of life care, in addition to training, coaching, and mentoring skills.
The team has a reputation for delivering high-quality training that is designed with impact in mind. Our team works closely with partners across the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland health and social care system to develop opportunities that support the workforce to deliver the best possible experiences for palliative and end of life care patients, their families, and carers.
The successful post holder will work both autonomously and as part of a team supporting the delivery of existing educational programmes to multi-professional and multi-disciplinary staff, including advanced communication skills training. They will lead on the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of new innovative education and training opportunities, contributing towards the Centre for Excellence Research and Education strategy. They will also have the opportunity to shape the future workforce through the education of medical and nursing students as well as supporting LOROS hospice teams.
Based in our Centre for Excellence, training will be delivered in the education centre, virtually, or in practice settings as appropriate.

Salary: £29,768 - £30,949 per annum depending upon experience. 37.5 hours per week - Worked over 5 days (Monday - Friday). The applicant will be willing and able to work long hours over specific weekends and evenings during busy event periods.
