Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. FPGA Application development.
2. Analogue and Digital Hardware design.
3. Maintain legacy products including updates and improvements to extend product life span.
4. Analyzing system requirements and defining functions to be implemented.
5. Contribution to creating and maintaining manufacturing data packs.
6. Writing functional specifications for design.
7. Writing test specifications (Routine test, Type test).
8. Participating in and contributing to design reviews.
9. Ensuring designs are documented to Company standards.
Required Qualifications
1. Degree or Higher in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
2. Significant experience of FPGA design using VHDL or Verilog.
3. Knowledge and experience of Model Based Design.
4. Excellent all-round knowledge and understanding of electronic components & principles.
5. Exceptional hardware/FPGA debugging skills.
6. Experience with Altera, Microsemi, Xilinx FPGA devices and design tools (Quartus II, Libero SoC).
7. Dynamic and proactive with the ability to work on own or as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to resolve technical issues.
Desired Qualifications
1. Experience of designing hardware for real-time control applications.
2. High-speed digital hardware design and PCB layout skills.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
4. Motivated great teammate, self-starter, results-oriented.
5. Agile development practices e.g., Scrum.
6. Scripting experience using Perl, Python.
7. Experience of version control, e.g., SVN, GIT.
8. Bug tracking tools, e.g., JIRA.
9. Power Electronics control system design.
10. Knowledge of HVDC.
