We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Paralegal to join our Real Estate Department at our Bristol office. We are looking for an experienced paralegal to become a key member of our expanding and specialised site set-up team.
In this role, you will collaborate with our highly regarded team to deliver significant projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient set-up of various sites, while also providing support to junior team members.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Bristol office.
The Practice

We have invested significantly in our real estate practice, offering extensive expertise in areas such as residential development, regeneration, real estate investment, real estate funds, logistics, student accommodation, commercial development, telecommunications, utilities & energy, and retail.
Residential developers trust our strong expertise to guide their projects from concept to completion. We provide comprehensive advice throughout the entire project lifecycle, covering areas like acquisition, affordable housing, build-to-rent/PRS sales, site setup, management structures, and infrastructure agreements.
Our residential development team operates nationally across our Bristol, Reading, and London offices, working on top developments and market-leading transactions. The practice is supported by robust departments in real estate litigation, construction, planning, tax, and plots/site setup, forming a powerhouse residential development practice.
The Team
Our real estate team comprises 75 lawyers, including 22 Partners in the UK. The Residential Development practice is a key component of the Real Estate team, featuring 8 Partners and a large team specialising in this area. This includes our dedicated site setup and plots administration and conveyancing teams.
The Role
As well as providing technical support to less experienced team members, you will deliver a wide range of services to the Residential Development practice, including but not limited to:
* Site Set-Up: Assisting with site set-up (i.e. preparing sites for disposal) matters connected with large-scale residential developments.
* Legal Documentation: Handling deeds of easements, wayleaves, infrastructure agreements (e.g. Section 38 and Section 104 agreements), substation transfers, transfers of land, deeds of covenant, and various other matters for our house-builder clients, including the drafting and negotiation of the same.
* Asset Management: Managing asset issues related to large-scale residential development schemes, including leases, licences, transfers, and deeds of variation.
* Comprehensive Support: Addressing ancillary matters related to large-scale residential developments.
The candidate
You will be an experienced paralegal with specialised knowledge in infrastructure and associated agreements. You will also:
