Associate Transport Planner - London
We are currently working in partnership with a leading Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy who are looking to reinforce their presence in London. With a strong record in the Development Infrastructre sector and a real focus on developing sustainable solutions in the ever changing transportation and mobilty sector this presents a first class opportunity to work in conjuction with some of London's leading developers on ground breaking schemes.
This job posting outlines an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planning professional to join out client at the Associate level in their London office. Here's a summary of what the role could offer you:
Responsibilities:
1. Manage client relationships to build anf grow on our clients transport Planning offerings.
2. Negotiate fee proposals.
3. Lead and deliver transport planning projects, including site identification, planning applications, and monitoring through the planning process.
4. Prepare transport statements, assessments, travel plans, and other supporting documentation.
5. Provide market-leading consultancy advice to clients and co-consultants.
6. Support senior staff and develop project management and work-winning skills.
7. Manage project finances.
8. Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
9. Stay updated on relevant technical, legal, and policy changes.
10. Develop and mentor colleagues within the project team.
11. Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions.
12. Maintain continuous professional development.
13. Provide guidance on quality matters and technical issues.
14. Seek to add value to all projects.
Requirements:
15. Degree in a related subject.
16. Significant experience in preparing Transport Statements and Assessments.
17. Ability to use PICADY's, ARCADYS, LINSIG, and understand their outputs.
18. Understanding of micro-simulation and strategic models.
19. Knowledge of design standards (DMRB, MfS) and their application.
20. Experience in developing access, parking, and sustainable transport strategies.
21. Familiarity with S106 agreements, S278 agreements, and Traffic Regulation Orders.
22. Strong project management skills.
23. Ability to work with minimal supervision and use own initiative.
24. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
25. Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

About You:
You should be an experienced Transport Planner with a thorough understanding of relevant planning and transport policy here in the UK. You should understand the importance of building strong client relationships in your every day business activity. A background in Business Development is not essential but you will need to demonstrate the drive and motivtion to be an ambassador for the busines, with your understanding and passion for Treansport Planning in the Ciy really shining through. It stands to reason that you will also demonstrate excellent technical skills, project management abilities, and communication skills. Additionally, you should be able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
