The Role:

We are looking for a motivated Compliance & Business Support Officer, who will ensure prompt payment of contract payments and invoices across a suite of contracts related to maintenance and repair works on Hackney’s 30,000+ housing stock. The successful candidate will have attention to detail and experience in performing contract payment functions and/or administrative duties, along with knowledge of ICT systems and applications.
As a Compliance and Business Support Officer, you will report to the Compliance and Business Support Manager and will be responsible for overseeing and delivering accessible information on contract payments on capital delivery and revenue reactive budgets, and engaging with all contract managers, project managers, and stakeholders regarding completed work on the capital and revenue programmes. You will act as a key point of contact for stakeholders both internally and externally in relation to contract payments, and provide administrative support to the wider Housing Contract Delivery and repairs teams, using the council’s financial management system and Housing repairs management system.
It is essential that the candidate is self-motivated, can work both independently and within a team, and has previous experience working with datasets and spreadsheets. Knowledge of budgets is desirable, as well as previous experience working in a local government authority. Training will be provided where required.
