Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to support our growing Data Center in Newport.

What you will deliver?
* Promoting a safety-first culture in the business and ensuring compliance with the company's Management System. Influence site management on best practices and compliance requirements.
* Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
* Carrying out audits and reporting on the findings and recommendations to the project team and chairing the Site Health and Safety Committee meetings with the Project Director.
* Conducting accident investigations and reporting back to the project team leader and Health & Safety Lead.
* Carrying out Tool Box Talks regarding high-risk activities.
* Liaising with the supply chain regularly to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Identifying hazards and recording them on the NOC system.
* Reviewing and providing feedback on RAMS and risk assessments.
* Conducting training, leading the Bsafe program, managing records, and working proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a program of continuous improvement in the management of Health and Safety.
* Keeping up to date with all aspects of relevant health, safety, and welfare at work legislation and communicating relevant changes to the business.
* Driving sub-contractor performance.

Who are we looking for?
* A Health & Safety professional with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
* Able to challenge unsafe acts or behaviors identified.
* Write weekly summaries of site conditions.
* Proficient in delivering impactful training to groups.
* Skilled in creating and developing charts and graphs for monthly reports.
* Good with Excel and Pivot Tables.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
* Experience using PowerPoint and preparing presentations.
