Establish Tour Operator Group with different specialist brands is now seeking a very motivated and sales driven Assistant Sales Manager to join their team working partly in their Birmingham city centre office and partly from home. You will play a key role in contributing to the smooth-running of the sales department by assisting the Sales Manager in leading the sales team, developing strategies to increase sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. This role involves supporting daily sales operations, training sales staff, and contributing to the overall success of the sales department.
Salary is circa £28,500k pa dependent on experience.\n\nJOB SUMMARY: \n\nAs an Assistant Sales Manager, your key responsibilities would include:\n\nAssist the Sales Manager in managing the sales team, including setting sales targets and monitoring performance.\nParticipate in the development and implementation of sales strategies and plans.\nSupport sales representatives in achieving their sales goals through guidance and coaching.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key customers and clients.\nHandle escalated customer inquiries and complaints to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.\nConduct regular client visits and follow-ups to foster long-term partnerships.\nAssist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding of new sales staff.\nProvide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and knowledge.\nConduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.\nMonitor sales metrics and analyse sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities.\nPrepare and present regular sales reports to the Sales Manager and senior management.\nCollaborate with the Sales Manager to develop action plans based on sales data and market insights.\nAssist in the coordination of sales activities and promotional campaigns.\nEnsure the sales team has the necessary resources and tools to perform their duties effectively.\nMaintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.\nContribute to the development of competitive strategies and positioning. \n\nEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:\n\nIf you have previous experience working for a Travel Company as a senior travel consultant or manager role we would love to hear from you!\n\nYou must be available to travel as needed to support sales operations and meet with clients.\n\nTHE PACKAGE:\n\nSalary is dependent on experience but in the region of £28,500 pa starting salary dependent on experience.\n\nThis role offers a mix of office and home-working and the offices are based in Birmingham city centre.\n\nIf you have recently left the Travel Industry, this is the time to return!\n\nINTERESTED?\n\nPlease follow the instructions to apply attaching your CV.
