Job summary We are offering an exciting opportunity for 2 Receptionists (30 Hours each candidate), to join a large well-organized GP practice. The team is made up of 2 Partners 7 salaried doctors 2 nurse and a very large friendly team. However, you will need to be flexible as the position(s) will also include some early morning (8am) and / or late evenings(6.30pm) Your hours once agreed, would become your regular working week and form part of your contract of employment. It is important to understand we need applicants who would be prepared to cover holiday and sickness of colleagues as and when required and appropriate, to maintain the standard of services we offer to our 11,500 patients. Your rate of pay will be starting at the minimum wage rate depending on your age. Main duties of the job The role role is receptionist/administration Welcoming patients and visitors, answering the telephone and answering any inquiries. Scheduling appointments and keep those appointments on time. Assisting patients with completing necessary forms and documentation. Keeping a clean and calm reception area. Dealing with prescription requests and queries relating to them Scanning, filing, and mailing documentation from email or through the clinical system(EMIS WEB) or Docman. Comforting distressed patients this may range from simply fixing any appointment issues that may arise, through to being the voice of comfort during times of extreme stress and emergency. Maintaining information confidentiality at all times. Liaising with other medical departments such as radiologists, medical specialists or psychologists with professionalism and discretion.
