NHS Kent and Medway ICB has been awarded funding to fulfil its objectives to provide leadership for the ICS in research and innovation. This exciting post gives an opportunity for somebody to lead the way in developing and growing membership of a new online research and innovation platform, working in the Chief Medical Officer's Team. To facilitate collaboration between research and innovation partners across the ICS, the Kent and Medway Research and Innovation Collaborative (KM RIC) has developed an online platform on the FutureNHS system. Twenty organisations from across the NHS, County Councils, Universities and Research Institutions are initially represented on the platform and it is expected that more will join. It is free for anybody with an interest in Research and Innovation to join the platform. The platform will allow individuals to see funding opportunities, find multi-disciplinary and multi-sector research and innovation partners from across the ICS and use the cloud computing facilities to work collaboratively and build research funding applications. This project manager role will lead on an active programme to develop the platform to its full potential, recruit members and support external organisations to grow their presence on the platform.
Main duties of the job
Developing the Future NHS Research and Innovation Collaborative platform:
* Increasing and enhancing resources available to members
* Supporting Network Managers and other stakeholders to enhance their own resources on the platform
* Providing training for Network Managers and other members of the platform
* Being a lead manager of the platform, having a specialist oversight of Research and Innovation content and resources
* Adding new members, and managing the process to add new members to the online platform
* Collecting and adding as much relevant information to the site as possible
* Adding funding opportunities and details of grants to the platform
* Arranging a 'launch event' with local researchers and academics
* In collaboration with the Kent County Council trainer, roll out research training packages to the Kent and Medway Research and Innovation community

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
Experience
* Further training or significant experience in project management, financial management or supporting change management processes
Attributes
* Well developed diplomatic, persuasive and negotiating skills to navigate relationship building amongst research and innovation partners across the ICS
* Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands
