Salary: GBP50,(Apply online only)-GBP55,(Apply online only) per annum + relocation package (up to GBP65,(Apply online only) total package)

The Role:
* Use offline CAD/CAM programming packages to take engineering drawings from clients within the aerospace and defence industries and plan the best route to produce that component using 5-axis machinery.
* Program, set and operate 5-axis machinery to produce components effectively and efficiently, working to tight tolerances.
* You will be the go-to offline programmer within the business, leading all programming projects and training lower-skilled machinists.
* Assist the business in acquiring new machinery, discussing suitable CAD packages and suggesting improvements for production efficiency.
* Lead projects from conception through programming and machining of components.
* Identify tooling requirements for new programs and design new tooling alongside design and manufacturing engineers.
The Requirements:
* Previous experience with Offline CAD/CAM Programming packages within precision engineering (essential).
* Proven ability to program and set up 5-axis CNC machinery (essential).
* Strong understanding of CNC processes, from drawings to planning, programming, and machining to tight tolerances (essential).
* Proven ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings (essential).
* Willing to relocate to Devon full-time as this role is onsite 5 days per week (essential).
* Previous experience producing components for aerospace and/or defence industries (advantageous).
* Experience leading projects from start to finish, liaising with different departments (advantageous).
* Full rights to work in the UK and willingness for security checks (essential).
