Description Role: Service Coordinator. Salary: £36,000 per annum (plus on call allowance £700 per annum) Contract/Hours: Full time – Permanent - 37 hours per week. A bit about the role Our service assists young people, between the ages of 13- 25, providing a welcoming and accessible service that respects and values young people as individuals we are professional, non-judgemental, and confidential encouraging young people to make informed healthy decisions. As a Service Coordinator you will contribute to the direct service delivery with colleagues and young people leading two key service areas. How you'll help to create brighter futures. You will have oversight of our next steps programme, which provides young people who care experienced support to develop the necessary skills and resilience needed to successfully transition to independence and into work. Our service co-ordinator will provide line management to 1 full time young person’s practitioner working within the next steps team whilst also balancing this with a reduced caseload of direct work directly with Children and Young People. In addition, the role will also support and oversee the delivery of Action for Children’s social spaces programme which delivers group work opportunities which provide fun and engaging learning opportunities for young people who may otherwise be socially isolated. In the role you will work closely with senior staff and managers to review and evaluate wider service provision, whilst nurturing, developing, and promoting effective relationships and channels of communication with colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies and other external agencies. Significant post qualification experience of working with children, young people and or families in a multi-agency environment and achieving positive outcomes through intervention Experience of chairing, supporting, and contributing to service planning meetings. Experience of the development and practice of community working. Delivery of service user needs assessment, ensuring accurate and update retention of information. Flexibility in work arrangements to ensure delivery of service. You will have full rights to work in Guernsey. Good to know.
