An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Education Teamas a permanent full-time Medical Education Administrator.
Your role will be to support undergraduate medical students, working closely with the Clinical Sub-Dean and Director of Medical Education for Grenada to ensure good support processes, both academically and pastoral.
Your role will also be to provide excellent customer service as well as a high quality reception and information service. You will be required to work flexibly with your colleagues and provide an efficient service. You will be adaptable to change, have experience of working in a busy office environment and enjoy interaction with a variety of people. Having direct contact with Trust staff you will be an excellent communicator. If you enjoy using your own initiative, enjoy working with people and enjoy variety, this could be the job for you!

Ensure regular communication to all internal stakeholders.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with clinical tutors and supervisors supporting medical students and physician associates on placements across the Trust,
Monitor attendance of students in placements and teaching, keeping clinical sub deans, director of medical education for St Georges Grenada, informed of any absences, making arrangements for any time lost.
Prepare induction packs for incoming students and ID badges.
Organise and arrange medical student end of attachment Assessment of Clinical Competence to enable sign-off from their attachments.
Work with the Clinical Training Fellows supporting medical students.
Support University of Southampton in OSCE training for medical students.
Arrange student accommodation at the Trust and negotiate with the student re their accommodation requirements whilst placed at the Trust.
Keep the Education Centre Manager up to date with all arrangements for accommodation.
To maintain an up-to-date website uploading details of timetables for medical students.
Ensure that all students complete their placement modules in line with Medical School requirements.
Supervise where appropriate administrative support required to deliver medical student education and training.
Assist the Education Team/Receptionist when required re setting up of rooms and troubleshooting of multi-media equipment.

To support the medical student placements at the Trust in various specialty areas: General Surgery, Obs and Gynae. In addition to support the placements for Student Selected Units across all specialties at the Trust.
The post holder will also support the placements for University of St Georges Grenada medical students across various specialties: Paediatrics, Obs and Gynae, General Surgery and Medicine.
In addition the post holder will also support the placements of Physician Associates across the previous mentioned specialties at Poole Hospital.
