Deadline for receipt of applications: 16th February 2024
Founded in 2016, CHARIS resettles and provides integration support to refugees and asylum seekers. Through our six Welcome Centres across Somerset we provide wrap around support such as English classes, drop-in services, interpretation, social activities, a safe space, benefits support, employment hubs, mental health advice and other support. Over the past six months our centres have worked with over 2200 displaced people, including over 350 asylum seekers. We pride ourselves on our values, and work with a mixed team of staff and volunteers.
In response to increasing demand we are adding immigration advice to our service offering and are seeking an experienced immigration advisor, at OISC Level 2 or above, to join our team to offer individual casework for clients, and provide advice and guidance to the wider CHARIS team. The applicant should be accredited to OISC Level 2 or above, have experience of providing regulated immigration advice and be knowledgeable of the issues faced by refugees and asylum seekers. They should also be strongly aligned with our values and mission.
