About the role The principal objectives of this role are to manage the day-to-day system development activity of the Pepper Advantage Technology Division teams in the UK, Spain, India and other jurisdictions. Working closely with the GCIO and Programme Teams in particular, but not exclusively, the HODI will ensure that tactical and strategic Prism (our proprietary Technology) objectives are clearly defined, understood and delivered; the job holder will have the capabilities to manage cross jurisdictional project elements involving internal and external clients and stakeholders as well as key third party partners and suppliers, to produce high quality, modern and adaptable applications bespoke to business requirements. Day to day ownership and accountability for BAU in all Prism teams and countries is an integral feature of the role. Location: London (UK), Madrid (Spain) or Dublin (Ireland) Your responsibilities: A key contributor to the ongoing design and build of a modular cross-company software ecosystem which enables Pepper Advantage to develop a credit management, product agnostic, end to end servicing platform with inherent flexibility and configuration readily adaptable to local regulatory and market requirements. Designing, customising and implementing technology systems and platforms to maximise customer and end user experience. Setting local objectives and strategies focusing on Agile processes and cloud first delivery. Provide architectural guidance and governance to the development and wider data and analytics teams across the Advantage entity. Working with colleagues in Europe and Asia, ensure the most suitable technology is used in the delivery of Project Prism strategic objectives. Ensure compliance with data and IT security and country specific regulations. Lead design strategies for future development projects in alignment with Pepper Advantages’ overall goals and objectives. Coordinate with external stakeholders for new integrations and tools. Specific focus to be applied to ensuring all Prism modules align with overall objectives: -Cloud Hosting Platforms; -Technology based teams, as appropriate and defined by overall PGS strategic requirements; -Telephony platforms; -End user computing. Identifying technologies that can be used to improve Pepper Advantage’s productivity and systems scalability. Conducting reviews of complementary IT products and systems to evaluate their potential value to either the Prism project or in a wider Pepper Advantage capacity. Support the sales and marketing activities for the product as and when required. Governance Member of Prism SteerCo. Member of the internal Value Adding Projects Update (VAPU) group. Regulation Establish a robust understanding of relevant laws and regulations and the impacts these have on the business in relevant jurisdictions and apply this understanding to ensure all aspects of compliance as Prism modules are in development. Competencies: Highly skilled and proven technical/infrastructure/architectural and development skills with proven track record of delivering technical solutions for bespoke business requirements. Vast experience in delivering fast paced and agile system developments. Ability to work with, influence and support senior ExCo management. Creates a positive and collaborative climate in which people want to do their best by providing appropriate challenge, support and direction. Contributes positively through clear communication, personal impact and behavioral flexibility aligned to core Advantage. Excellent communication and influencing skills, including the capability and gravitas to operate at C -suite level in multiple jurisdictions. Demonstrates leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills. Your skills: Minimum 10 years’ experience of managing developments for dynamic and complex systems in a fastmoving environment. High degree of technical knowledge and experience. Extensive change management experience and evidential delivery capability. Mortgage origination and servicing and/or Financial Services sector experience desirable. Proven capability to understand and assess process and operational business needs and manage the development and build of new systems and applications to meet recognised requirements. Ability to communicate both at a technical and executive level.
