Role Overview: As a Chef Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our culinary operations, ensuring that every dish is prepared with care and served with a smile. From chopping vegetables to serving customers, you'll be an integral part of our team, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued. This role also entails supporting the Chef Educator in organising Community Kitchen programs and community-driven projects aimed at meeting community needs through our personal and community development initiative, The What If Plan. You’ll play a vital role in preparing and serving delicious food to our members while upholding the highest standards of customer service and food safety. Requirements Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Confident Lone Worker with the ability to work independently with confidence. Proficient in Food Production, being able to demonstrate competence in producing high-quality food offerings with confidence and skill. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Flexibility to perform a variety of duties as needed. Passion for making a positive impact in the community. Level 1 Food Hygiene and Food Safety certification required. Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not essential.
