This is a leadership-level opportunity, suited to professionals with a strong track record in complex engineering project delivery across high-hazard or technically advanced industrial environments. As a senior figure within the project delivery team, you will drive multi-million-pound engineering projects from conception to completion, overseeing technical and commercial performance. This role goes beyond coordination — it demands strategic oversight, mentorship of junior engineers, and the ability to influence key decisions across engineering and stakeholder groups. Key Responsibilities: Lead the full lifecycle of capital engineering projects, typically between £100k–£3M, across the UK and Ireland. Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, ensuring design integrity, commercial alignment, and delivery to SHEQ standards. Guide and challenge feasibility studies, cost estimates, and technical proposals. Act as the focal point for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and third-party customers. Oversee risk, schedule, quality, and budget management throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to strategic planning and process improvement initiatives within the engineering function. Mentor and support the development of junior engineers within the team. Required Qualifications and Experience: Degree-qualified in Mechanical, Process, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). 5 years of experience in project engineering within process-driven industries such as chemical, oil & gas, manufacturing, or energy. Proven success in delivering multidisciplinary projects to time, cost, and quality expectations. Strong understanding of project governance, budgeting, and risk management frameworks. Experience working with high-value assets and critical safety and quality standards (SHEQ). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
