Our SEND team are looking for a qualified Advisory Teacher of Deaf Children and Young People to join their team Our innovative Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Service exists to improve outcomes and make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people with SEND, and their families, who require support to be included in their community. As part of this role, you will provide support to families and advice to enable pre-schools, mainstream and special schools and colleges to enhance the effective education of children/young people with hearing impairment. You will be responsible for providing direct teaching to children and young people and planning visits to children and young people with hearing impairment according to their needs, within designated areas of the county. You will need to work closely with settings and health staff, children and young people and parents to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved. We are seeking a qualified Teacher of Deaf Children and Young People. Proven experience and knowledge of current Special Educational Needs processes and legislation alongside up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people will be essential.
