Position: Early Intervention in Psychosis Service Mental Health Practitioner (RMN, SW, OT)
We are hiring for 2 full-time positions (2 FTE).
We are seeking two passionate and creative clinicians to join our friendly and experienced team. As part of the multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively in the assessment and planning of care and interventions for individuals experiencing a First Episode of Psychosis.

We are seeking to recruit two dynamic clinical practitioners either a Nurse, Social Worker (SW) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to work with a caseload of service users and their networks, supporting them on their recovery journey.
You will be joining a forward-thinking team and service that continues to strive to provide outstanding holistic and safe care in collaboration with the Community and Recovery Mental Health Services (CARMHS). You will have supervision and ongoing professional development with opportunities for training in specialist First Episode Psychosis interventions and skills.
This is a fulltime post (WTE 2.0) working Monday to Friday, 9-5 hours. Based at Ealing Early Intervention Service, Cherington House, Cherington Road, Hanwell.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Early Intervention Service MH Practitioner is to work in partnership with First Episode of Psychosis (FEP) service users wrapping care and treatment around hope and aspirations informing their care and recovery plans. To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively in the assessment and planning of care and support to individuals experiencing a First Episode of Psychosis and manage a caseload.
The postholder will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with a sound background of working in a community mental health setting, of working flexibly and promoting the safety and the wellbeing of service users and their families/carers. They will have an understanding of the evidence-based clinical interventions for this particular care group – including psycho-education, physical health and wellbeing support and risk minimisation planning.

Qualifications
* Qualified RMN/OT/SW with current professional registration
* Evidence of relevant continuous professional development
* Family Interventions Qualification
Experience
* Post-qualification experience in mental health; working with individuals with acute and complex needs
* Experience of supervising junior staff within own and/or other disciplines.
* Working in partnership with other agencies
* Experience of working in a community mh setting
* Working with people with psychosis
* CAMHS and/or CYP experience
* Care co-ordination and care planning within CPA in the community.
Knowledge
* Specialist knowledge of mental health disorders as well as their relationship to physical disorders
* Mental health issues within diverse communities
* The Early Intervention in Psychosis model, ethos and practice
* Safeguarding policies and procedure
* Evidence-based interventions for First Episode Psychosis including psychological treatments
* Care Programme Approach principles
* Understand the principles of recovery and their application to risk management, positive risk taking and strength-based approaches to care delivery.
* Sufficient clinical knowledge to be able to make autonomous decisions, based on an analysis of complex presenting problems and judgement about available options.
Skills
* Ability to manage own caseload and time effectively; revising and adjusting priorities as required according to the needs of individual patients and the service
* Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and independently with confidence when required
* Work using own initiative, flexibility, and practising self-awareness
* Ability to frequently work under pressure, to meet deadlines and manage risk in the dynamic clinical working environment.
* Be aware of the limitations in own competencies and seek appropriate guidance from senior colleagues.
