As the Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with day-to-day financial tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports.
2. Cash Book control and forecasting receipts and payments.
3. Petty cash reconciliations.
4. Assist with month-end journals and reconciliations.
5. Customer accounts reconciliation.
6. Prepare invoices, process payments (in different currencies), processing timesheets and expenses.
7. Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
8. Balance sheet reconciliations.
9. Utilise Excel for data analysis, creating spreadsheets, and generating financial reports.
10. Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Skills and Experiences
1. Previous experience within an Accounts role.
2. Experience running month-end journals and reconciliations.
3. Experience dealing with balance sheet reconciliations.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment.
6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
7. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Specific Qualifications
1. Hold AAT Level 2 or equivalent.
