As an MP&L supervisor, you’ll be coordinating and monitoring the logistics operation. You will be responsible for all on-shift Health, Safety, and Environmental issues arising.
How you will contribute
* Responsible for all on-shift Health, Safety, Environmental issues arising including: Full Safety incident investigation and corrective action implementation. Ensuring all employees understand the need for safe working. Ensure the adherence of site H&S procedures.
* Ensure inbound deliveries are received and tipped as per schedule. Achieve all internal KPI by allocating correct resources and coaching team to manage the day-to-day business using the business objectives.
* Manage the update of all Team board documentation to capture real-time performance and identify improvements. Confirm daily activity is being carried out to achieve KPI.
* Identify and implement corrective actions for issues arising that affect the successful achievement of departmental KPI as well as specifying process improvements that will enhance operational performance.
* Represent the department at internal and external customer meetings.
* Communicate departmental shift issues and performance at team briefs. Attend team board reviews and board walks.
* Manage manpower resource effectively to support customer delivery requirements and Lean Manufacturing principles – including the implementation of CI activity.
* Drive company Absence Control Procedures to ensure maximum attendance levels. Deal with all personnel issues on shift in line with Company Policies.
* Manage development and maintenance of accurate standard work documentation.
What you will bring
* Two or more years of experience in supervisory roles.
* Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
* Understanding of business planning.
* Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
* Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
