We are four friends who embarked on a new "Project" in the vibrant and growing Whitley Bay social scene. We have a love of travel, food and wine and wanted to bring what we have enjoyed together from those areas to our new business venture. Project is a fun and laid-back, Neapolitan inspired pizza and wine bar that is fast growing in popularity.
We have a new opportunity for a Head Chef & Manager role that will be responsible for leading our kitchen, managing staff and controlling the day-to-day running of the business as well as supporting with the implementation of new menu ideas to keep it exciting and fresh.

Responsibilities
* Leading food preparation and cooking.
* Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
* Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders with suppliers.
* Tracking order trends and developing new menu ideas.
* Managing and coordinating staff on shift.
* Training and mentoring other employees.
* Resolving customer complaints with diplomacy.
What we are looking for
* Prior experience managing a kitchen or people.
* Prior experience as a pizza chef, preferably with the Neapolitan style.
* Proficient with preparing and baking pizza dough.
* High understanding of food safety practices and hygiene.
* Excellent team spirit with a customer-focused attitude.
* Performs consistently well in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment.
* Able to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
