In this role you will manage relationships with 20 or more lenders who are involved in a major £2BN energy project and play an active role in a new project worth £5BN, with a focus on managing Project Finance relationships with a varied audience of lenders.
You will also ensure that the projects are appropriately covered from an insurance point of view, you will work with a broker to ensure that the policies reflect the needs of the project and ensure that risks in that regard are managed effectively.
We are looking for a professional with excellent experience gained in a Project Finance environment and who understands how debt and lenders in the infrastructure market are managed. You will be the point of contact and respond to requests for information and will be involved at all stages of lending in support of major energy infrastructure projects.
In this role you will:
1. Be responsible for the management of the loan structure and project credit support requirements of entities in the UK.
2. Support the UK corporate finance manager and work closely with the wider corporate finance team to manage debt facilities and manage insurance provision.
3. Co-ordinate lender responses, requests, reporting and notifications on all aspects of project finance projects and report on the loan structure.
4. You will take part in financing, refinancing and other provisioning for various projects under a project finance model.
5. Manage the corporate insurances on annual basis to ensure that the projects are appropriately covered at all stages of the project life cycle.
This is a role where the successful candidate might come from a variety of backgrounds.
This may include;
6. Finance and Accounting background and holding a university degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or engineering. Candidates may be a qualified or part-qualified Accountant.
7. Experience in placing or administering loans in a Project Finance backed infrastructure project, prior exposure to this type of financing is a must have.
8. Experience in administering insurance policies is desirable but the successful candidate will have Business, economic and financial knowledge/experience.
9. Advanced Excel based modelling skills are essential, whilst the role is not to be a hands-on modeller someone used to using this information will adapt well.
10. Knowledge of energy or other infrastructure projects is vital to understand the insurance needs and the project finance requirements.
