Purpose of role
The Digital Marketing Executive will support the Digital Projects Team Manager in implementing the digital strategy for key marketing initiatives. This includes optimising web content, enhancing user experience and driving digital marketing performance through strategic content management and collaboration. The role also includes executing content audits, creating and maintaining a high standard for web content through clear guidance and analytics-driven decisions.
The role sits within the Digital Marketing, Content and Communications team, working closely with content specialists and cross-functional teams such as SEO, Analytics, UX and Account Management. The Digital Marketing Executive ensures the website remains a critical tool for driving engagement and meeting both organisational and user needs.
Key responsibilities
The Digital Marketing Executive will play a pivotal role in supporting the launch of new websites and ensuring the quality and accuracy of content across the CMS. This role will focus on executing actions that enhance the performance, visibility, and lead flow of targeted content within the Rentokil Initial and subsidiary brand web estate.
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent organisation skills and a passion for web content management and digital marketing.
The role’s key responsibilities will include:
● Maintain and update the CMS, ensuring all content meets organisational standards and user needs
● Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to source, commission and edit high-quality content, including images and videos
● Implement technical SEO recommendations to improve search performance
● Work with developers and content specialists to troubleshoot issues and improve the platform’s functionality
● Rollout of new products, upgrades and functionality to market sites through Content Management Systems such as Magnolia, Sitecore, and WordPress
● Produce site maps and visual representations to support internal teams in understanding website functionality and structure
● Develop and maintain clear guidance, such as web content style guides, for consistent CMS content authoring
● Maintain documentation of processes and best practices for reference and training purposes
● Support new acquisition sites in Magnolia, working in close collaboration with Market and Digital Marketing teams from build to go live
● Support the testing and launch of new Product functionality across key/identified Markets
● Manage project workflows using agile tools such as Jira or Trello to schedule and track tasks
● Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives to ensure alignment across teams
● Track tickets from creation to completion, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving blockers
Requirements:
Training/ Experience
Experience working within content management systems such as Magnolia, Sitecore, and WordPress and experience in web content creation and entry
Experience working within Agile methodologies, including participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure collaborative and efficient project delivery
Familiarity with SEO best practices, including keyword research & analysis and trends data

Qualifications
Degree-level qualification in Marketing, Digital, IT or similar or an equivalent Marketing/IT-based qualification
