Job Summary
The QC Laboratory Support position is accountable to the QC Manager - Chemistry and is responsible for performing various tasks in support of the day-to-day operation of the chemistry lab, raw material and water sampling and basic analytical testing.
Responsibilities
* Sample raw materials, including APIs, HPAPIs, excipients, operating supplies and controlled substances in a timely manner after receipt.
* Perform water sampling/conductivity testing as required.
* Log in and receive samples in LIMS.
* Retrieve and deliver samples and documents to and from other departments.
* Update SOP’s as required.
* Calibrate and perform verification checks on laboratory testing equipment such as balances, pH meters and load cells.
* Arrange for pick-up and delivery of compressed gas cylinders for sampling/testing.
* Inventory management of reagents in and out of the lab through AX, check reagent expiry on a monthly basis and update lab reagent files.
* Perform analytical testing of bulk and finished products as time permits.
* Perform testing of components, operating supplies and IFP.
* Receive supplies for the lab and put into designated locations.
* File and archive raw material, imported finished product and component documents.
* Discard samples after release.
* Generate hazardous waste list.
* Other related duties as assigned.
* Follow GMP and regulatory requirements, and ensure quality standards are met.
* Observe and support all safety guidelines and regulations using SDS, perform 5S and maintain audit readiness of responsible work areas.
* Demonstrate the Company Mission, Vision and Values Statement, policies, and current standard business practices.
Qualifications
* College diploma or University degree in a science-related discipline.
* 6 months to 1 year of laboratory experience.
* Well-developed time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to work in a self-directed team environment.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
