Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bicycle Mechanic to join our team at Saddle Skedaddle. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of bike maintenance and repair.
* Carry out thorough and accurate servicing of bikes and e-bikes to meet our high standards
* Assist with the upkeep, cleanliness, and organization of our workshop and bike storage areas
* Document all bike service records clearly and concisely
* Assist with ordering parts, supplies, and equipment as needed
* Contribute to the longevity of our bikes and equipment by implementing best practices and maintaining a high level of attention to detail
* Assist with the upkeep of our vans, trailers, equipment, and trip kits, including purchasing, repairs, maintenance, and inventory management
* Coordinate resources with our operations team, including the use of our resource management system
* Assist with general operations and logistics work as required
* Promote health and safety best practices on site
* Contribute to the development of Skedaddle best practices and projects as needed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualities:
* Be trustworthy and responsible
* Be well-organized, capable of multitasking, and require minimal supervision, but also work effectively as part of a team
* Be a sound communicator and personable
* Hold experience and/or qualifications in bike mechanics equivalent to Cytech Level 2
* Be a hands-on person with a mechanical aptitude, able to take initiative and problem-solve
* Have good knowledge of bikes and bike maintenance, with a willingness to continually learn and improve
* Be able to work well and calmly under pressure, and adapt to unexpected situations
* Be a keen cyclist with an interest in travel
* Hold a full clean UK driving license
