Residential Manager Job Description
Lead and manage a dedicated care team to ensure high-quality support for children and young people in a therapeutic and safe environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Day-to-day management: Oversee operations, ensure compliance with Ofsted standards and regulatory requirements.
* Team leadership: Recruit, supervise and mentor staff, providing support and motivation.
* Care delivery: Develop and implement individualized care plans, meeting children's emotional, educational and social needs.
* Safeguarding: Ensure adherence to safeguarding procedures and health and safety standards.
* Collaboration: Build strong relationships with external partners to deliver best outcomes.
* Financial management: Manage budgets and resources effectively.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Residential Manager in a children's home or similar care environment.
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
* Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding regulations.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
