A rapidly growing manufacturing firm near Oxford is looking for a Production Operative from a manufacturing, construction, moulding, or fabrication background to assist in the assembly and finish of moulded parts.
Must be practically minded and able to use conventional workshop power and hand tools, live in Oxfordshire, and drive to travel to the location.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the manufacture of products by adopting good workmanship standards and paying particular attention to quality.
2. Assisting in the preparation of mouldings in support of the production schedule.
3. Assisting in the preparation and bonding of boats.
4. Assisting in the cutting, grinding, and flow coating of bonded boats.
5. Assisting in other areas of the manufacturing process as directed by your line supervisor.
6. Assisting in the production of sub-assemblies as and when required.
7. Assisting in the training of other personnel, including new production operatives, as required.
8. Maintaining workstation in a clean and tidy state.
9. Operating in accordance with the company's Health and Safety procedure and other related company policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
A good standard of general education and either qualified by experience or an Engineering BTEC Level qualification with 1-2 years plus experience of working in a similar environment.
You need to have a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, and be able to work on your own initiative. You should be a problem solver, a good communicator, and able to understand and communicate instructions clearly and effectively with good attention to detail. Work well alone or in a team.
Hours are Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.00pm, salary is c£25k, Bupa Healthcare, contribution pension, and free parking. Due to the location, you need to have transport.
