HS2 Construction Manager – Birmingham
Role description:
This role will manage a team to coordinate the safe delivery of all operational activities on major projects ensuring Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, programme and budget requirements are met. Build and motivate a cohesive on-site construction team, providing guidance and support for optimal performance, including coordination with Works Managers, General Forepersons, Forepersons, and everyone in between. Working as part of the senior construction delivery team, taking direction from the construction lead and project senior leadership team (SLT), providing guidance to the wider team. Supporting managers in leading focused forecast look ahead meetings, providing authority and guidance where required.
Experience required:
* Experience as Construction Manager, Project Manager, or similar SLT position within construction.
* Evidence of successful experience in Civil / Infrastructure projects, ideally working on Earthworks, Bridges, Highways, & utilities.
* Understanding of Engineering principles.
* Comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practices.
* Relevant CSCS Card.
* Relevant SMSTS Card.
* Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
* Basic Computer competence (E-mail, MS Word, Excel & intranet).
