As a PMO Analyst for the M&S Online Portfolio Team at Marks & Spencer, your primary responsibility is to support the PMO Manager RLD in tracking progress and performance, managing risks, and overseeing escalations across the transformation portfolio. You will help ensure that projects and programmes deliver the intended scope and outcomes while identifying and supporting process improvements within the Programme Management Office's frameworks and ways of working.
This role is a 12-month maternity cover.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you’ll do
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyse, and report portfolio data to track progress, performance, and adherence to established benchmarks and KPIs. Generate comprehensive reports and visualisations to communicate project status, trends, and potential risks effectively. Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders to align with financial goals and strategies.
* Documentation Management: Maintain portfolio documentation with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organisational standards and procedures. Establish and update document repositories or databases for easy access to critical project information. Assist in generating ad-hoc reports and presentations as needed.
* Supporting Programme Managers: Assist Programme Managers in creating and maintaining project plans, monitoring schedules, and proactively identifying potential risks and issues or bottlenecks and collaborate on solutions to mitigate these challenges.
* PMO Process Enhancement: Contribute to optimising PMO processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing efficiency enhancements.
* Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner to facilitate informed decision-making. Support meetings or presentations to share insights, progress, and strategies for Online & Omnichannel success.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include:
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data sets.
* Experience with process improvement initiatives within a PMO or project management environment.
* Knowledge of portfolio management and project prioritisation techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Experience in a project management support role or within a Project Management Office (PMO).
