We are at an exciting period of our practices journey, and are looking for an enthusiastic Data Storage Facilitator to join the team.
We provide services to over 50,000 patients, across 9 sites with a team of dedicated staff. Our mission is to provide a service which puts the welfare of our patients at the heart of all we do.
Main duties of the job
To be shortlisted, you will have experience accurately reading, sorting written and electronic correspondence which comes into the practice, scanning clinical/non-clinical documents onto patients' medical records and where necessary forwarding on to the coding team for further actions.
You must work well under pressure, with varying demands of work throughout the day, which is all business critical. You need to have good prioritisation skills and be organised in managing these.

You must be able to communicate effectively; working closely with all Managers and departmental functions, with a strong team ethos and can-do attitude, bringing a positive and significant contribution to the team.
The hours for this role are 26 hours per week, Monday to Friday, days and times to be agreed.
Job responsibilities
The post-holder will scan, summarise and read code relevant information from patients' clinical documents into the practice computer system, working strictly in accordance with the practice coding and summarising protocols.
Assist with scanning and the workflow distribution of practice correspondences.
Read all clinical correspondence (discharge letters/outpatient reports, results, etc.) and transpose information onto the patients' clinical record.
Sort and distribute practice correspondences in accordance with the workflow distribution protocol.
Be able to use EMIS/Docman scanning software to attach documents to patients' EMIS records, also coded to the appropriate department.
Be able to data stamp both external and internal post.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workload whilst following procedures and protocols.
Ability to communicate and work with others both internally and externally.
