The Department
Glasgow City Youth Health Service is a holistic, early intervention and prevention service for young people aged 12-19 years. The service offers support with a wide range of health and wellbeing issues including mental health, sexual health, risk-taking behaviour, relationships and employability. The service team is multi-disciplinary, incorporating Nurses, GPs, Business Support staff, Counsellors, Multiple Risk Workers and a Youth Employability Coach. The Youth Health Service is available in the evenings, at 9 venues across Glasgow City, with 3 in the North East, North West and South localities.
The Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to provide communication support to a service that works to improve the health and wellbeing of Glasgow’s young people. The key responsibilities for the post holder will be:
1. Updating and managing the webpages of the Youth Health Service and hosted weight management service, Weigh to Go
2. Working with the Youth Health Service team to create content for the Youth Health Service Social Media accounts
3. Promoting the Youth Health Service and Weight to Go through advertising campaigns
4. Ensuring all communications activity is in line with relevant policies and procedures
5. Monitoring and evaluating the success of communications activity
6. Engaging with young people, parents and carers to evaluate service and recommend improvements
