POSITION PURPOSE:
The Manager, Fleet is responsible for managing all company-owned and leased fleet vehicles and related operations of the company, to include safety performance, vehicle inventory, repair & maintenance, external vendors, standard operating procedures, efficiencies, and cost savings. Ensures all Briggs Industrial Solutions standards are adhered to and executed consistent with company direction.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Partner with the Accounting Department to develop the Annual Capital Plan for Service Vehicles, which includes the purchasing, expense control, and disposal of vehicles.
* Plan, organize, and direct all functions and activities related to the acquisition and operations, maintenance, repair, and disposal of the company’s vehicle fleet.
* Monitor and audit toll violations, fuel usage, and the Global Positioning System (GPS) devices located on company vehicles.
* Monitor, analyze, and modify fleet operations to maximize return on investment and manage costs.
* Work directly with the Fleet Management vendor to efficiently oversee and direct all contracted functions such as License & Title management, Inventory Management, etc.
* Create and/or improve upon standard operating procedures to provide cost savings and fleet efficiencies.
* Perform monthly and quarterly review of vehicle records and reporting analytics.
* Manage the performance, contract administration, and ongoing relationships with external vendors.
* Partner with the Safety Department to administer GPS tracking and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) systems.
* Perform, at a minimum, an annual physical inventory of service vehicles.
* File Federal and State mandated periodic vehicle-related tax reports (IRP, IFTA, UCR) as required.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

* Working knowledge of systems, procedures, techniques, operations, standards, controls, and reports that apply to inventory and service vehicle management.
* Experience managing leased vehicles a plus.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Previous Experience/Education:
* Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree with relative work experience preferred.
* 5+ years’ experience in fleet administration/management with experience in DOT, NHTSA, and IFTA regulations.
* Experience in motor vehicle transactions (registration, title management, etc.) preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
