About this job
A key role of the Housing Officer is to understand the needs of customers and respond to these, at both an individual and neighbourhood level. This will help us provide a good quality housing management service, which meets the needs of our residents. The Housing Team will act as a single point of contact for tenants for any matters relating to the terms and conditions of their tenancy agreement across both our general needs housing and sheltered accommodation sites. We will work to offer our tenants contact methods which are simple and efficient, and our responses to them personal and clear. The Housing Officer is the custodian of the estates and neighbourhoods which they manage and should have influence over place shaping. They will foster better relationships with tenants, ensuring that tenancy agreements are upheld by both parties and provide an important first point of contact for tenants who require support. Housing Officers will also work to continue to improve joint working with partner organisations and other Council departments, to improve the lives of our tenants.
