Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with learning disabilities, ensuring they can access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals. Help adapt lesson materials to suit the individual needs of students, including simplifying content and creating engaging, hands-on activities. Assist students in building their confidence, independence, and social skills. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress. Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learning styles. Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes the well-being and development of all students. Provide positive encouragement and reinforcement to help students overcome challenges and celebrate successes. Assist with classroom management and general classroom duties, contributing to a well-organized and productive learning space. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people with learning disabilities or SEN is highly desirable. Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Attributes: Empathy, patience, and enthusiasm for helping children succeed. Knowledge: Familiarity with teaching strategies for children with learning disabilities, such as breaking tasks into manageable steps or using visual aids, is an advantage.
