Job Description:
We are looking to employ the right candidate to work alongside our existing workshop team to keep up with demand. The role is predominantly workshop-based but will require weekend work during the race season on a rota basis.
We require a motivated and enthusiastic technician with a passion for classic and performance cars, as well as a keen interest in racing. The work environment is fast-paced and eclectic, allowing you to work on a wide range of classic vehicles from Morris Minors to 450bhp thoroughbred race cars.
The individual must be self-motivated and able to manage their own workload while also being a team player, as we are a small business where everyone is required to contribute.
Applicants must have experience in classic car repair and diagnosis, knowledge of carburettor systems, kingpins, and old car electrics, as well as familiarity with modern vehicle systems such as injection, modern electrics, and ECUs.
We offer a competitive salary, 26 days of holiday plus bank holidays, paid overtime, and a flexible working environment.
If this sounds like you, please send your CV and covering letter.
Experience:
* Proven experience as a classic car technician or in a similar role.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, including proficiency in vehicle electrics.
* Familiarity with operating power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment.
* Ability to read and understand technical documents, including schematics.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients as race days are client-focused and one-on-one.
