In this role they are seeking an experienced HSE Manager who is passionate about instilling a culture of safety in the workplace for over 1,100 employees across the island of Ireland.
The Role
Reporting to the Asset Management Director, this critical role will have responsibility for HSE Governance at Energia Group including developing, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of their HSE programmes, policies, and systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with HSE representatives and management across Energia Group to ensure the HSE strategic goals are delivered.
You will develop and maintain the company’s ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified HSE management systems, ensuring compliance with regulations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead the Group HSE Committee, and coach the HSE team to meet strategic goals. Key responsibilities include delivering monthly HSE reports, monitoring performance against KPIs, managing audits, and driving safety initiatives across the organisation. You’ll also oversee safety training, incident response plans, and provide expert advice to senior management, while contributing to ESG programmes and supporting group projects.
You will promote and drive a culture of safety across the organisation and have extensive experience in a similar HSE management role with emphasis on office, hybrid or remote workers. You have a degree in Occupational Health & safety, Environmental Health, NEBOSH or similar and have demonstrable experience of effectively establishing HSE management systems in the workplace. An excellent communicator you have experience of providing HSE advice and recommendations to employees and management at all levels as well as communicating HSE topics at Senior Leadership level.
It would also be beneficial if you have experience of working in the energy, construction or generation industry in a large organisation with multiple sites.
