We are seeking a dedicated Class Teacher to join a supportive SEMH School in South Woodham. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver well-structured lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH challenges.
* Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment to support learning and emotional regulation.
* Monitor and assess student progress, adapting strategies to ensure individual success.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support for students.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s ethos and policies.
* Maintain accurate records of student progress, contributing to reports for families and external professionals.
* Engage in school-wide activities and initiatives, including extracurricular programs.
Qualifications and Experience
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Experience teaching in SEMH or SEN settings.
* Further training or qualifications related to SEMH or SEN.
* Knowledge of strategies to engage students with diverse and complex needs.
