About the Role:
Serco is seeking a proactive and highly organized EDI & Welfare Administrator to support our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and Welfare functions at Yarl’s Wood IRC. In this pivotal part-time role, you will provide critical administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the department and contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all residents and staff.
Working closely with the EDI & Welfare Manager, you will handle essential administrative tasks, manage sensitive data, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to the broader goals of justice and immigration services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer all departmental functions and provide direct support to the EDI & Welfare Manager.
- Draft monthly reports
- Create and manage schedules rota's and updates.
- Input and extract data from focus group meetings and maintain accurate records.
- Monitor action trackers, ensuring timely completion of tasks by relevant stakeholders.
- Update notice boards.
- Liaise with charities and external organizations to ensure up-to-date resources are available.
- Conduct monthly checks to ensure compliance and assist with audits by gathering necessary evidence.
- Collate complaints, review reports, and liaise with security and governance teams to ensure proper resolution.
- Provide additional administrative support as required, including meeting minutes, stakeholder database updates, and other departmental needs.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
