Join my client as a Trading Director, where the mission is to optimise and trade fully owned assets in-house via their own trading desk, utilising their own market access. This role offers remote working options across the UK.
As a Trading Director, you will lead the trading desk to generate revenues for the BESS portfolio and any wider product or innovation that may evolve over time. You will support and report to the Managing Directors, developing and constantly improving the trading desk and the traders in the team.
My client requires these skills and understanding: extensive industry experience and excellent knowledge of energy trading, balancing markets, and data industry. A successful track record of trading on the UK markets through all avenues is essential. You should have strong commercial understanding, especially in relation to maximising trading opportunities, and the ability to develop high-quality management information to support decision-making. Excellent staff management and development skills, along with the ability to use technology to drive innovation, are highly valued. Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft applications and Excel, are necessary. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, confident communicator, and committed individual with a strategic vision.
