Barker Ross is hiring an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Operative in Falkirk.
This is a physical role focused on building steel frames, requiring practical skills and experience using a range of tools.
This is a long-term, full-time position with the potential to become permanent.
Pay:
£13.00 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 2:00 pm
1-hour break
Overtime available
Duties:
Hands-on assembly of steel frames and components
Working as part of a team on the production line (up to 7 operatives, including a working chargehand)
Using various power tools, including battery-operated tools, to assemble steel frames
Reading and interpreting technical plans
Accurately measuring materials using a tape measure
Physically handling and moving products (6-12kg), either individually or with assistance
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
Requirements:
Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical, and hands-on role
Self-motivated, reliable, with good timekeeping and attendance
Positive attitude with flexibility and adaptability
Physically fit with no underlying musculoskeletal issues
Additional Information:
Manual handling training provided
Method Statements and Risk Assessments reviewed prior to starting
Uniform provided after probation
PPE and tools provided
Regular drug and alcohol testing (mandatory participation required)
Skills test required before starting
