Ideally we are looking for a multifaceted individual to work with multidisciplinary teams comprising of technical and clinical roles. You will be part of a clinical applications team and it will be expected that the post will also engage in other high profile projects when needed.

We are looking for an experienced IT professional with solid experience in successfully managing Clinical and corporate systems and lead a team in the training and go-live phases of each work stream across the Trust.
We need you to contribute to improved utilisation of Clinical Applications at LTHTR for the benefit of our patients, reducing wait times and improving financial outcomes.
You will have responsibility for daily management, on-going support and maintenance (including training), service development and technical administration of the System Management across Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley District Hospital, including the interfaces and integration with various hospital systems.
Provide technical support and advice to end users, of all disciplines, and departments.
You will be part of the Enterprise Wide Applications team and will be expected to work closely with other Digital teams, Clinical and Operational staff within the Medicine Division.
In addition you will lead in all areas relating to the system management and also be involved in any changes that happen for systems that are interfaced. This includes liaising with the system provider in regards to upgrades, potential system developments and business as usual issues.
To liaise closely with Operations departments to ensure business as usual is followed correctly, to encourage system use for all admin and clinical staff affected and assist in any changes to standard operating procedures and keep updated with business and usual with all stakeholders.
Manage day to day operations, system issues and data quality/information governance issues.

• Maintain and develop and manage working relationships with stakeholders, project staff, software suppliers, IT professionals, lead clinicians and other relevant Trust personnel.
• Attend & chair meetings on behalf of the Enterprise Wide Applications management team and senior management team to facilitate and manage work packages
• To be responsible for and manage, maintain and develop the key IT systems and update Digital IT Senior Management team & relevant programme boards and stakeholders
• Initiate, promote and participate in detailed meetings and workshops for requirements with IT Professionals and Software suppliers based on end-user needs
• Manage detailed IM&T requirements, communicate available options and solutions, assist in the establishment of timescales to meet user, department and supplier expectations and contribute to building a professional and positive impression of the organisation
• Gather and analyse detailed IM&T system/process requirements
• Assist & manage in the continued assessment of IM&T developments to ensure requirements are met and that they are fulfilled within the planned timescales and that any deviations or timescale slippages are reported to line management
• Provide high level input & lead with major IM&T installations, software updates, deployments and infrastructure related services
• Allocation of work to Departmental personnel as required
• Adhere to the approved Standard Operating Procedures used in the Department and Trust
• Comply with legislation, policies and procedures
• Use and maintain resources efficiently and effectively
• Support the development of Technology
• Innovate and participate in discussion around new ways of working and new technology trends
