A top-tier law firm is seeking a Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Lawyer (2–6 PQE) to join its highly regarded team in London. About the Role
You will work closely with senior lawyers and key clients, drafting and managing transactions across a wide range of DCM matters. From acting for book-runners and investors to advising on regulatory compliance and market practice, this role offers significant client exposure and a platform to develop your skills and grow your career.
As part of the team, you’ll advise prominent bank clients such as Barclays, HSBC, NatWest Markets, and Santander, as well as institutional investors. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the firm’s top-tier sector teams in areas like housing finance, local authorities, and healthcare, providing expert legal advice on innovative and impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Acting for book-runners, investors, trustees, and issuers on public bond issuances and privately placed DCM transactions.
* Drafting and reviewing transaction documentation, including prospectuses and investor agreements.
* Managing transactions, liaising with regulatory bodies such as the FCA and LSE to ensure compliance.
* Providing timely and high-quality advice to clients while managing expectations and delivering exceptional service.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Contributing to business development initiatives and supporting team growth.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* 2–6 years PQE with experience in Debt Capital Markets transactions.
* Expertise in drafting documentation for bookrunners and investors, managing public issuances, and liaising with regulatory authorities.
* A solid understanding of applicable regulatory and securities laws, as well as current market practices.
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
* A genuine interest in understanding clients’ drivers and delivering creative, impactful legal advice.
