Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ PGCE in secondary education is essential.
2. Experience teaching English at secondary level.
3. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
4. An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
5. Passion for English and a commitment to student success.
Responsibilities:
6. Deliver high-quality English lessons to secondary school students, following the national curriculum.
7. Plan and prepare engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities, fostering a love for literature and language.
8. Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their best.
9. Maintain a positive and productive learning environment, promoting good behaviour and mutual respect.
10. Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to the development of teaching strategies and resources.
