Job Description:
Teaching Personnel is seeking an empathetic and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Blaenau Gwent. This rewarding role involves providing crucial support to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Your primary responsibility will be to offer tailored assistance both inside and outside the classroom, helping students manage their emotional well-being, behaviour, and academic progress.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students to overcome challenges and reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and mentorship, helping them build resilience and confidence in their learning and daily lives.
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday
Salary: £89.38 - £95 a day (dependant on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
Support students academically and emotionally, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs.
Motivate and encourage students, helping them engage with lessons and develop important life skills.
