This is a full-time position based at the Lichfield Road Industrial Estate in Tamworth.
The successful candidate will be required to be on site from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and working within a busy Purchasing and Customer Service Team, we are looking for a highly motivated individual to take ownership of the role.
Key Duties:
1. Placing and progressing purchase orders
2. Checking confirmations, pricing, delivery information, etc.
3. Booking freight
4. Liaising with warehouses
5. Checking specifications and maintaining the system that is in place
6. Booking in stock
7. Interacting with team members and supply partners to ensure appropriate information is shared
8. Assisting with holiday cover within the team
Duties are not limited to the above and the role may alter depending on experience.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have relevant experience in a similar role
2. Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
3. Have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under their own initiative
4. Be able to adhere to strict deadlines
5. Have a good understanding of Maths, English, and IT skills
6. Be eager to learn and develop new skills
