The Job: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs. Your role will be crucial in helping them access learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
In this role, you will:
* Provide individualised support to a child with SEN, adapting strategies to meet their needs.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans.
* Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging the child’s social and emotional development.
* Assist with classroom activities, interventions, and behaviour management where needed.
* Help to track progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents.

* Experienced: Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable, but a passion for supporting learning is essential.
* Patient & Caring: Able to build positive relationships with children and provide the support they need to thrive.
* Adaptable & Resilient: Flexible in your approach, able to respond to the needs of the child and the wider school community.
* Team-Oriented: Happy to work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to provide the best support possible.
Desirable Skills: Experience with Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, or other learning difficulties. A background in childcare, psychology, or special education is beneficial. Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other communication strategies would be an advantage.
