As Support Worker you will be working as part of our community Independent Living Services, supporting individuals in their own homes and in the community. You will be expected to support with daily aspects of living, including: Medication administration Cooking skills and other household skills Accessing the community and supporting to local groups Supporting with individuals’ hobbies and activities Being a team player and having good communication skills Completing relevant paperwork to a high standard Supporting individuals to budget finances Providing companionship to the people we support through talking about their interests and wellbeing Having fun by encouraging the supported individuals to take part in activities that enhance their life skills and promote independence Take the people we support out and about therefore a full manual driving licence is essential for this role Encouraging and supporting with cleaning and administrative duties Being able to bring fresh ideas to the team and implement different ways of working Supporting Individuals with their individual needs What skills and experience do you need? A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is required A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.
