What you will do:
1. Ensure that the infrastructure is delivered in a manner that supports appropriate levels of resilience, performance, and capacity in a secure and cost-effective manner
2. Establish, deliver, and refine the IT Infrastructure Roadmap & IT Infrastructure Projects
3. Manage a technical team to act as subject matter experts for all infrastructure and environments technologies
4. Definition, design, and roll out of the Environments Management strategy and associated processes including integration with the broader IT and Testing Strategy and integration of processes with Agile SDLC
5. Coordinate environment builds, configurations, and deployments to ensure a stable platform for the business. Maintain an environments plan of availability and usage
6. Maintain and monitor appropriate risk and controls, ensuring the bank security & policies are upheld
7. Manage suppliers and third parties providing IT support and Services ensuring costs are managed within the provisioned budgets
What you will need:
* Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank, and all our stakeholders
* Expert knowledge of managing Infrastructure services and understanding of infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Private Cloud)
* Experience of managing an Infrastructure or Environments team as well as third party supplier relationships
* Knowledge of solution design best practices
* Technical understanding of IT Infrastructure, Application Life Cycle & Maintenance Strategy
* Knowledge of Service Transition, Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) processes and Core Applications
* Awareness of Batching processing and the service that underpins it and understanding of Disaster Recovery Principles
