Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, self-motivated, forward thinking person to work in the Children's Community Physiotherapy Service, based in Thurrock and Essex.
You will be joining a supportive physiotherapy team that cares for children and young people with a wide range of needs ensuring a varied and interesting workload.
The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent organisational and communication skills along with a good level of IT competency. They will need to be able to work independently and have the ability to effectively and efficiently prioritise and manage a varied workload. They must also be adaptable to changing/challenging situations.
The successful candidate must be a car driver. This post requires the post holder to assist with hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
Main duties of the job
As a physiotherapy assistant, you would:
* demonstrate and work through exercises with children and carers
* keep notes updated
* work closely with physiotherapists and other health professionals
* Take care / ordering of stock/equipment, general tidiness.
Person specification
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
* Evidence of working with children
* Knowledge of IT
