If you're eager to be part of an inspiring and innovative journey, we want you with us Your Mission As a Secondary Teaching Support professional, you will play a vital role in supporting secondary school students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, SENCO, and parents to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a supportive and inclusive academic setting. What You'll Be Doing Provide 1:1 support for students with learning needs. Implement support strategies in line with the school’s policies. Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to ensure progress. Assist in the development and implementation of individualised support plans for students, tailoring strategies and resources to meet their specific needs. Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as necessary. Participate in meetings and discussions to share insights and strategies for supporting students’ learning and well-being. Help foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere where students feel valued and included. Employ different instructional techniques and materials to cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of students. Keep detailed notes on students’ development and communicate this information to teachers, parents, and other relevant parties. What You Bring to the Table Experience working with students in a secondary mainstream setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, building positive and supportive relationships. Demonstrate the ability to establish trust and rapport with all members of the school community. Show a deep commitment to helping students by exhibiting patience and empathy in your interactions. SEN experience is an added bonus, providing you with additional skills and knowledge to support students effectively.
